Dino Sejdinovic is a Professor of Statistical Machine Learning in the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at The University of Adelaide. He is affiliated with the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), where he serves as one of the Theme Leads of the Responsible AI Research Centre (RAIR), leading efforts on AI evaluation for safety and fairness. He also serves on the steering committee of the Adelaide Data Science Centre (ADSC). In addition to his primary appointment in Adelaide, he holds Visiting Professor positions at the College of Computing and Data Science, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (since 2025), and at the Research Center for Statistical Machine Learning, The Institute of Statistical Mathematics, Tokyo (since 2024). He is a Fellow of the ELLIS Society, affiliated with the Machine Learning for Earth and Climate Sciences Program, and a member of the Machine Learning & Global Health Network. Before joining The University of Adelaide in October 2022, Sejdinovic was an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Oxford, a Fellow of Mansfield College, and a Faculty Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute. His research spans the interface of machine learning and statistical methodology, with interests in robust and trustworthy machine learning, causal inference, uncertainty quantification, and large-scale nonparametric and kernel methods.
